You might know us as the OBA when we used JSB as the engine drive the league. Since our conversion to FBB3, we are enjoying what this sim offers. Some features of our league are highlighted below:

Fully human 28 team league - Each pro team is currently staffed by a human GM. Our GMs represent 5 continents. We vary in ages with GMs in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. As diverse as your regions and ages are, we are more diverse in team philosophies. Total beginners go head to head with GMs with experience that span decades and people who barely know basketball square off against people who are actual coaches.

28 Developmental League affiliates - Each affiliate is tied to a professional organization. Those interested in becoming a professional GM can get to know the personalities in the league and those new to the simulation can game plan in a finance free environment. GMs who show they have the right stuff for the professional league will rise to the top of the list for professional team assignment.

Full College Feeder System - We use a full college feeder system using FBCB software that represents Division 1-5 schools. Follow your players' career from the time he was a four star high school prospect up through their hall of fame induction!

CBA full finances - No GM experience is more true than having to compete for a championship in an open market with finite resources. Outbid your competition for top free agents or coaching staff but keep in mind that your competitors are doing the same. Worried that the large market teams will just outbid you? Our league utilizes revenue sharing to help even the playing field. Developmental League affiliate teams do not use finances to allow those learning the ropes are free to focus on player evaluation and game planning.

Individual team scouting - Does the player card say he's an 80 but he plays like a 100? Is he a Blue/Blue or a Green/Green? Is there a player on another team's bench with star potential ripe for trade? Does your scout show that rookie has what it takes to become a quality pro? A quality scout can make all the difference but, in an open market, teams will bid for the services of the top scouts. Give your team insight that your competitors might not have or spend your finite resources elsewhere.

Teams and players are fictional - Make your own history! Put behind worries that Nick Van Exel outscored Michael Jordan because some GM "camped him up." Historic leagues are great but they come pre-packaged with bias from their NBA history. Our players do not come with legacies built in... that's up to you. As GM of a top talent, your guidance, development, and publicity will build that legacy for them and give them a name that endures well after their time on the court is over.

Freedom of the Press - Contribute press or cover stories as unique as you are. Will you use the press to build a legacy for your star players to cement his place in the hall of fame? Or will you use it to increase a player's trade value? Is your star player a trash talker like Gary Payton or an all around class guy like Tim Duncan? Tell us about it in press releases! You are a collaborator and press contributions are your enduring legacy to this league.

Quality vs. Quantity - Seasons are run at a slower pace than most leagues. This allows you to think strategically about your games. Use your skill to craft game plans that get the most out of your rosters. Move players to different positions in your depth charts to get the best match up but beware, your opponents do the same. Manage players to maximize the talent and cohesion ratings of your roster. Your decisions matter and can gain or lose games for your franchise that can make all the difference in your season.

Actually, make that more than 28 humans. :)

Our developmental affiliates are about half way full so there's a robust, competitive league that is, basically, our wait list for the professional league.

We'll take new GMs until the Developmental League is full. Stop by and check out what we have to offer.

This league is about as good as they come. The pace is perfect to develop a real feeling for the players, and the creative writing that our GMs create make this league second to none.

Come visit us!
