Cleveland Notes:
Good thing we were able to make some lucky trades, as we ended up with the 1,2, 4 and 23rd Pick in the draft. The number one pick comes from PHX which was a playoff team, 8th seed, when we made the trade. The other trade that helped us out was the LAC trade, who were in 1st in the Pacific at the time of the trade. Hade a feeling that they would fold. Our pick ends up as the 4th pick.

Now it is time to figure out who we wish to draft or if we want to trade picks for proven stars.

DURATION OF SIM:
2011 DRAFT

Cleveland Notes:
We decided to take a gamble and trade for the continued growth of the organization. Dropping down 4 places for 2 more 1st's seems like a no brainer. Here is to Toronto continuing to struggle in the coming years.

Pre-Draft Trade:
Toronto trades:
2011 Toronto 1st 6th Pick
2012 Toronto 1st
2013 Toronto 1st

Cleveland trades:
2011 1st 2th pick
2011 2nd Round 32nd pick
SF Jawad Williams

2011 Draft Results:

1. Cleveland Cavs- PG KYRIE IRVING
We need players at every position, but without a PG to lead the team what is the point. Welcome to Cleveland Kyrie.

2. Toronto Raptors- C NIKOLA VUCEVIC
Not sure why they went with a center and was hoping Nikola would drop to us at 4 or 6.

3. Milwaukee Bucks- SG KLAY THOMPSON
4. Cleveland Cavs ------Charlotte drafts- PG RICKY RUBIO
TRADED TO CHARLOTTE
We decided to once again gamble and make a big trade.
Cleveland trades:
SF Alonzo Gee
PF Samardo Samuels
SF Christian Eyenga
2011 1st Round Cleveland 4th
Charlotte trades:
2011 Charlotte 9th
2012 Charlotte 1st
2013 Charlotte 1st

5. Sacremento Kings-PG ALEC BURKS
6. Cleveland Cavs- SF KENNETH FARIED
We took a chance on still being able to get are man. Worst case we could still have landed two other good small forwards. Happy to get another energy player in Cleveland. We he be a SF or PF that is the real questions.
7. Washington Wizards- C NIKOLA PEKOVIC
8. Atlanta Hawks- PG ISAIAH THOMAS
9. Cleveland Cavs- TRADED TO NEW JERSEY NJ PICKS PG KEMBA WALKER
New Jersey trades:
2011 1st Round #12

2012 NJ 1nd Round pick (whoops that was a mistake)

13. Cleveland Trades pick to Memphis-
Memphis trades:
2011 1st Round pick #14
2012 1st Round pick
Cleveland trades:
2011 1st Round pick #13

DURATION OF SIM:
2011 Free Agency and Preseason

Cleveland Notes:

Signings:
PF Pau Gasol
PF Chris Anderson (re-signed)
SF Peja Stojakovic
SG J.J. ****
PG Jason Kidd
PG Aaron Brooks

After trying to land the big names like Kevin Durant, Danny Granger and Chris Paul, we had to change are approach and bring in a bunch of veterans on one year contracts. Pau Gasol signed a 4 year, large contract but we plan on trying to move him for a younger player or draft picks.

Preseason:
4-2

We are going to try to let the Vets. Jason Kidd and Stojakovic start but only play half games. We might be able to make the playoffs. Team looked good in the preseason. We shall see what happens.

The Cavs are excited to see Kyrie Irving win rookie of the month, hopefully it will be one of many this season. The fans need to see a bright spot and hopefully Kyrie will improve and become the face of this franchise. The low point was losing SF Kenneth Faried after 4 games, he will be back in 22 more games (missing a total of 46 games).

2012 Draft

1. Cleveland Cavs-PF Anthony Davis
We need a PF and Anthony Davis is a good player and defender for us to develop.

We wanted to trade this pick but couldn’t make it happen, then we picked Drummond, which is a huge gamble. Second guessing not picking Thomas Robinson or Kyle Singler.

25. C Tyler Zeller
32. SG Jeremy Lamb
41. SF Draymond Green
43 SF Victor Claver

NOTES:
We really really wanted to trade a few guys for future picks but that didn’t happen. Couldn't get a single team interested in trading for a pick.

DURATION:
2012 Free Agency

Notes:
We when after all the key top FA, such as Kobe Bryant and Kevin Love. Then reality set in and we where able to sign two players SG O.J. Mayo and PF JJ Hickson. OJ was a big 4 year contract but he should be a scorer and starter for us. JJ signed for one year at the league minimum. We will have to cut one player before the start of the season.

DURATION:
2012 Pre-Season

NOTES:
2-3 Record. The surprise has been SG/SF Bradley Beal, as he was able to come off the bench and score over 10 points a game.

SG Bradley Beal out for 9 more games
