Idea:

I have decided to see how I can do running the Cleveland Cavaliers, after the "traitor" LBJ left for South Beach.

Team:
Centers:
Anderson Varejao 6'10"
JJ Hickson 6'9"
Ryan Hollins 7'0"
Power Forwards:
Antawn Jamison 6'9"
Samardo Samuels 6'9"
Small Forwards:
Jamario Moon 6'8"
Alonzo Gee 6'6"
Joey Graham 6'7"
Christian Eyenga 6'7"
Jawad Williams 6'9"
Shooting Guards:
Manny Harris 6'5"
Daniel Gibson 6'2"
Point Guards:
Mo Williams 6'1"
Ramon Sessions 6'3"

Season One Goals:
We need to trade for as many picks in the future that we can get and find something that can be the cornerstone for this franchise. It looks to be a difficult season that hopefully will lead us to a top draft pick in the first off-season.

2010

Week One:
Cleveland 2-1

Notes:
After the first week it is time to consider making offers to trade Jamison and Mo Williams, as they are the best trade chips that we have, maybe Varejao has a bit of value also.

2011 NBA DRAFT RESULTS:
1. Milwaukee Bucks- PG RICKY RUBIO
The Cavs were shocked and amazed that one they picked Rubio over Irving but also that with Jennings already at the point that they didn't take a player at a different position.

2. Cleveland Cavs- PG KYRIE IRVING
We need a great draft to get in the wins, this year. Kyrie gives us are starting point guard for 2011.

3. Cleveland Cavs- SG KLAY THOMPSON
It was a tough choice for us, trying to decide between drafting a big but in the end we decided to lock down are starting guards and address the post in an another way.

4. Sacremento Kings- PG KEMBA WALKER
Another pick that is surprising, I guess that the Kings are not sold on Tyreke Evans at the point. Maybe they move Evans to SG and run Walker out day one as their PG

5. Charlotte Bobcats- SF KENNETH FARIED
The big losers in the lotto were the Bobcats as they dropped from 1 to 4. With the pick they grab a player with a big motor and lots of energy. He should be a good backup at SF/PF as a rookie.

6. New Jersey- C NIKOLA PEKOVIC
New Jersey needs a center and with Pekovic they look to have a solid rotation in the paint. Pekovic, Favors, Humphries are a solid if not flashes group.

7. Chicago Bulls- C NIKOLA VUCEVIC
Back to back Nikola. The Bulls traded Noah last year, I think. So they address their needs with a rebounding, tough center.

8. Toronto Raptors- SF KAWHI LEONARD
Toronto has a lot of needs but SF could be the biggest. It must have come down to Leonard or PArsons and they determined that Leonard has a better abilities accross the board.

9. Minnesota T-Wolves- SG MARSHON BROOKS
Marshon is a slashing scorer with a decent jumpshot. On a team that needs an outside shooter to work with Kevin Love, Brooks in a stretch.

10. Phoenix Suns- PG ALEC BURKS
Alec is 19 years old and not a great passer or ball handler. He best bet is to work with Steve Nash and more than likely work on his shooting touch. His future should be at SG not the PG.

11. Memphis Grizzlies- PG ISAIAH THOMAS
The Grizzles just missed out on the playoffs last year and with Randolph, Gasol, and Gay they are a team to watch. Conley left or was traded last year so PG is a big problem. The small Thomas might have a shot at starting this year in Memphis unless they are able to bring in a free agent.

12. Cleveland Cavs- SF CHANDLER PARSONS
Once again we wanted to take a post player but with every starting job open, we have to pick the guy that can play right away. Chandler is a nice addition next to the guards we drafted earlier.

13. Houston Rockets- PF GUSTAVO AYON
Rockets get tougher in the post with Ayon. With Pau Gasol on the team, Gustavo with be able to train and get better before they need big mens from him.

14. Golden State Warriors- SG E'TWAUN MOORE
With the last lotto pick the Warriors add to the roster another guard. They made trades last year and have a crazy amount of point gaurds. Tony Parker from SA, Jeremy Lin and Curry. One or more of these guys should be moved.

CAVS LATER PICKS:

Round 1 Pick 26- C GREG STIEMSMA
Round 2 Pick 3- PG JIMMER FREDETTE
Two guys that will also have to play minutes right away in Cleveland. Both as key bench players.

SF LeBron James (leaves MIA) signs w/ Philadelphia 76'ers

PG Chris Paul resigns w/New Orleans Hornets

It is huge for us to sign the reigning MVP. Things are looking up in Cleveland

SG Kevin Martin (leaves LAL) signs w/ Washington Wizards

Preseason 2011:

Well the additions of Amare Stoudemire and the rookies didn't help out in the preseason as we were beat-up on by every team.

November 2011:

Cleveland 2-12

Notes:
Other than Amare Stoudemire this team is playing awful. Irving is shooting under 40% and getting very few assists at 3.1 a game to 3.7 TO. Rough...

December 2011:

8-22

Amare Stoudemire POM, not much from the rest of the team. Expected more from Kyrie especially with scoring.

That stinks... I enjoyed following it. I started with the New Orleans team from time they arrived in NOLA and currently have a young Lebron, Dwight, CP3 with Dirk and Arenas. Game is too easy a few seasons in.
